What you can see at the start
The lobby has a framed portrait of Steak. Cruz is on the floor beside a plate of baby carrots and a toy blaster. He says his food swap sent Steak over the edge, and he points you to Room 67. A short timed prompt wants you in the lobby elevator before it closes.
Steps
- Enter the lobby elevator before the timer ends.
- On the upper floor, follow the cookie trail to the door marked 67.
- Inside the dark apartment, Steak is on the floor eating cookies. A loud plumbing noise interrupts him. He leaves and tells you to stay put.
- A scream outside starts a HIDE IN THE BATHROOM countdown. Steak checks the apartment, opens the bathroom, tells you not to use the flush, and leaves to bring food. The objective then changes to escaping the building.
- On the way out, a voice behind a locked door says she is Romy, Cruz's sister, and asks for help. The door stays shut. She asks you to find someone.
- The hallway elevator opens. Cruz is there with the toy blaster. He offers to protect you. Through the door he learns the key is in Steak's bedroom. When he moves toward it, Steak ambushes him and drags him away.
- While Steak is not watching, enter the bedroom and take the key from the nightstand.
- Use the key. The reported result is a giant arm from the doorway, not a rescue. A RUN prompt starts.
- Move through the collapsing hallway. Furniture and barricades are in the way. Reach the elevator. The doors close, then Steak forces them open for a last scare. The Chapter 1 completion card ends the chapter.
How you know it is done
The completion card is the reported finish. The official badge Chapter 1 Completed reads: "Steak was indeed, very weird..."

The television badge only says "Turn the tv on." The maid-outfit badge only says "Find the maid outfit." Neither names a room. Comments on a short clip say the outfit is on Cruz when he comes up the elevator, and that the badge waited until he was wearing it. That is comment discussion, not the badge text.
If you get stuck
- Missed the lobby elevator: the report only says the prompt is timed. It does not publish a retry rule.
- Hid in the wrong room: the prompt names the bathroom.
- The key released an arm: that is the reported story beat, not a failed unlock.
- You want the time badge: learn this order first. The 8-minute sentence does not say the clock starts at the lobby, at Room 67, or at RUN.
